ROLE

Architect of Record

Golden Beach is a town located in the northeast corner of Miami-Dade County, Florida, between the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean. As of the 2010 census, the town had a total population of 919. Founded in 1929, with 1.8 square miles, and 364 Homes.

The new Civic Building is a 25,412 SF, 3 story building encompassing the Town Government offices. The building design is a timeless, modern contemporary style surrounding the formal user-friendly Entry Plaza.  The new Civic building and plaza will create a community focus where government and its constituents meet in a relaxed and safe ambiance.

The facility will have the new Town Council, Town Manager, Town Clerk, Finance Department, Residential Services office, and the Town Police Department, the Town Council Chambers, a common community Terrace area, Building & Zoning Department, and an Emergency Operations Center.  At ground level will find 20 private parking spaces for City Officials, and 23 open to the public to the north and south side of the building, in a 3 acre site including city parks and recreation areas.

The Golden Beach project is the first of its kind with its unique safety emergency relief features. There is no other barrier island region in the nation where emergency teams can safely ride out a storm. The Golden Beach bunker allows emergency teams to provide immediate assistance to those still there. Typically, it could take days or even weeks to reach those in need. We are proud to be a part of such a groundbreaking build!
