With the affluent Chevy Chase and Bethesda areas of Maryland, nestled against a new Purple Line station, Chevy Chase Lake marks a signature project for Bozzuto Development. The joint venture with The Chevy Chase Land Company embarks to continue the evolution of the site on the 125 years of use, travel, and recreation. On just over 6 acres, located at the intersection of Connecticut Avenue and Manor Road, the team has produced a $200 million dollar, three building mixed use center. Consisting of two apartment buildings and one condominium building, all with ground floor retail, the site cradles a generous European style plaza for outdoor gatherings, café seating, and recreation. Over 530 residential units are included within the project, anchored by a world class grocer, and with direct access via a plaza to the brand new light rail line. A three level subterranean parking garage allows an urban style elevator approach and entry to each of the residential buildings and also creating a density enhanced charm of pedestrian streetscapes. Each building is scaled to reflect the charm and materials of the former age of Chevy Chase. Each has multiple building façade styles and materials, leading to the human scale for an authentic living experience. All three have roof terraces or courtyard living for an intimate lifestyle. With the direct access to the Capital Crescent bike trail, the commuter rail line, the live-work-play location, and the restaurant life on site, Chevy Chase Lake has reinvented itself, again.
